ABOUT THE PROJECT

The City of Oakville wanted a new building to house a park restroom and maintenance/utility space. Precast concrete was chosen for the unmatched durability of the material and quick installation, which also resulted in cost savings thanks to reduced labour time. The exterior of the modular building features a split faced block finish at the bottom with simulated brick on the upper portion, stained to the desired colour to give the look and feel of a brick patterned building. To compliment the building, the City requested a simulated metal pitched roof to blend with the residential area of the park and prevent the building from standing out. The 32’ x 12’ barrier-free unisex washroom was installed in just two days.
