ABOUT THE PROJECT

When designing the new six-storey waterfront Stone and South Condominiums in Gananoque, Ontario the plan was to include some decorative elements that had the appearance of stone. With its strength and durability, concrete was selected as a more hard-wearing, affordable option. However, the client didn’t want to lose the look of masonry work. So, Central Precast fabricated and supplied several architectural precast elements including window sills, copings, caps and arches. Finished in a shade of white with a light sandblast finish, they look like stone. The finished elements complement the textures, colours and features of the new buildings, while also giving it a distinctive aesthetic which is impossible to achieve with other building materials.
